About the Role

Are you an experienced PHP developer with a deep understanding of WordPress architecture and a passion for clean, scalable code? Nanato Media is hiring a Senior Web Developer (PHP Focus) to serve as the technical right-hand to our team lead. In this pivotal role, you’ll be instrumental in building, maintaining, and enhancing custom WordPress websites—from front-end visuals to back-end logic and integrations.

This is a hands‑on position in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment where reliability and maintainability matter. You’ll contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with UX/UI teams to bring web projects to life.

• Leading the technical execution of WordPress‑based projects using modern PHP development standards.

• Occasionally working with Gutenberg, Beaver Builder, or Elementor depending on project requirements.
• Optimizing websites for speed, SEO, and cross‑device responsiveness.
• Collaborating on architecture, deployment, and third‑party integrations with the team lead.
• Mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews to ensure quality.
• Maintaining efficient Git‑based workflows and participating in documentation efforts.
• Implementing DevOps tasks (Plesk, SSH, DigitalOcean) as needed.

What You’ve Accomplished

You bring the following qualifications to the table:

• 5+ years of experience in custom WordPress development and PHP applications.
• Deep expertise with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF Pro), Custom Post Types (CPTs), and WordPress core functions.
• Skilled in Git workflows, code reviews, and modern deployment strategies.
• Comfortable managing staging and production environments, and performing light DevOps.
• Familiar with modern bundlers like Webpack or Vite in WordPress contexts.
• Experience integrating third‑party APIs and marketing platforms.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, and performance optimization.
• Bonus: Experience with visual builders like Gutenberg, Beaver Builder, or Elementor.
