Overview

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager - Field ISP in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead large-scale, field-focused ISP projects, ensuring seamless execution from planning to delivery. The Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple concurrent projects, managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams, while driving operational excellence and process improvements. Success in this role requires strong technical knowledge of fiber, space, and power capacity builds, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence and guide engineers, specialists, and project managers. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and customers, to meet aggressive delivery schedules while maintaining financial and operational accountability. This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Accountabilities
  • Manage the lifecycle of 150+ inside plant construction orders simultaneously, ensuring on-time and cost-effective project completion.
  • Identify project components, teams involved, and inter-relationships, providing guidance, training, and process improvement opportunities for ISP specialists and project managers.
  • Proactively identify critical paths, anticipate risks, and resolve issues, including escalation when necessary.
  • Host regular meetings with engineers, internal teams, and external partners to review project status and track key deliverables.
  • Ensure engineer deliverables are complete and financial processes are finalized before project closure.
  • Oversee capital subprojects, purchase requests, and third-party expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with field operations, fiber engineering, service delivery, real estate, circuit design, pre-sales, and external vendors.
  • Receive and process quotes from contractors and equipment distributors while monitoring budget variances and overruns.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of telecommunications and/or project management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of space, power, and fiber capacity builds.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets) and ISP order management systems (Salesforce, SiteTracker).
  • Ability to manage tight schedules, escalate issues effectively, and provide guidance to junior staff.
  • Business-minded with the ability to maintain commercial focus.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
