Risk Event-Driven Distressed (REDD) Intelligence is looking for a reporter to cover corporates in Brazil out of our office in Sao Paulo.

The reporter will have a notable track record covering and breaking news and a solid understanding of the corporate credit space, working closely with our experienced team of financial reporters and analysts to cover performing / distressed corporates in Brazil.

Day-to-day activities include :

• Breaking news on corporate finance and operations, turnarounds and restructurings, legal, regulatory and market developments affecting Brazilian issuers
• Working closely with our market-leading team of reporters and analysts across the global emerging markets
• Analysis of finance, economics, legal situations and other data affecting corporates under coverage

Requirements :

• A minimum three to five years’ experience with coverage of Brazil’s corporate space
• A deep network of contacts in the business, asset management, banking, and legal communities
• Knowledge of the corporate bond market and global / onshore credit
• Facility with financial data and analysis related to coverage of the corporate space
• Knowledge of the local dynamics affecting corporates under coverage
• The ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
• Excellent English language writing skills
