Specific responsibilities of the role:

Performance Measurement/KPI’s

  • On-time delivery of 3D
  • On-time delivery of 2D or annotated 3D
  • Quality of deliverables (first time right)

Responsibilities

Accountable and responsible for:

  • Tender: performing space allocation according to MLE inputs
  • Project: performing and maintaining SAM (Space Allocation Mock up) in accordance with progressive maturity rules considering all constraints
    • Creating annotated SAM for exchanges with suppliers
    • Checking compliancy of suppliers feedback with relevant SAM
    • Performing 3D detailed design of design make parts considering allocated volumes given as inputs, interfaces defined with stakeholders, technical referential (materials characteristics), manufacturability and maintainability constraints
    • Supporting technical discussions with suppliers to converge on technical definition
    • Performing 2D or annotated 3D detailed design of design make parts considering internal rules of data structuration
    • Specifying and verifying activities or tasks delegated to Shared Engineering Center (SEC mode)
  • Contributes to
    • Providing weight data to Weight Discipline Engineer
    • Stack up calculations
    • Expertise in ALSTOM production sites or supplier premises for FAI and type tests

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Requirements Mandatory

  • Graduated from Mechanical Engineering school

Experience Mandatory

  • Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to heavy industry with 2 to 3 years of experience (including 3D Modelling and drawing creation)
  • Design in railway industry

Technical

  • English basics in read/writing and technical meetings
  • CATIA V5 (or similar product)
  • PLM (Enovia or similar product)

Behavioral

  • Rigorous
  • Capacity to interface with other Métiers and functions
  • Travel required - Yes
