Qualificações

Summary

The Pharmacy Systems Technician provides the department with expertise in pharmacy systems and technology as it relates to the overall operation of the pharmacy department. They will assist to develop, recommend, and execute process improvement initiatives. Additionally, they will help coordinate various operational processes and workflows along with the pharmacy leadership team.

Job Duties
  • Oversight and troubleshooting of all pharmacy related automation and technology systems, including but not limited to central pharmacy platforms, medication dispensing cabinets, code cart replenishment systems, and labeling products.
  • Assists with the daily operations of the pharmacy.
  • Implements and/or participates in department quality improvement activities.
  • Assists with developing reports for management and staff.
  • Assists with interface testing and issues between EPIC and pharmacy automation systems.
  • Aids in the investigation and resolution of controlled substance discrepancies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • 1 year Hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Knowledge and ability to use equipment or computer systems necessary for the preparation of medications.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical and medical terminology as well as pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex pharmacy technology systems.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel).
Certification

CPhT - Certified Pharmacy Technician (within 180 days).

Physical Demands
  • Lift and carry lbs.
  • Frequent to continuous standing / walking.
  • Activities may include kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR as required for role.
  • Patient transporters may walk 8-10 miles per shift.
