Role overview

Rebag has had its office in Tokyo since 2017 (REBAG JAPAN G.K.), and is looking for a full-time Operations Associate. This is a phenomenal opportunity to join a very fast-growing startup in its early stages and to write the future of collaborative luxury. Reports remotely directly to the Japan Operations Manager and works with members of the Operations/Buying/Bizdev team in Japan and the US.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and filing forms and other documents.
  • Updating logs and order forms.
  • Analyzing all operations and forwarding suggestions for improvement to the Manager.
  • Taking care of overall office needs (handling phone calls from vendors/partners, purchasing office supplies, communication with providers, coordination of office repairs, documents handling, etc.).
  • Scheduling meetings and team-building sessions as required.
  • Providing support to the Operations manager and team members as needed.
  • Communicating with logistics partners and resolving shipment issues; providing all pertinent shipping information needed to logistics.
  • Creating shipping lists with all necessary information and sending them to logistics before merchandise arrives at the warehouse.
  • Daily update and monitoring of all shipping from Japan in the inventory system (updating each order with shipping schedule and tracking information).
  • Communicating with NY Head Quarter (inquiries related to shipments from Japan; coordination with HQ operations and buying teams).

What We Expect You to Bring To The Table

  • Must be living in Latin America
  • Must be bilingual with fluency in English and Japanese (written and verbal).
  • Hands-on attitude; hard-working; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, high energy, team-oriented, collaborative mindset.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate (data entry, data processing, reporting, analytical skills).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable and efficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Previous experience in retail & logistics (WMS) is ideal.
  • Availability to work across different time zones.
