We’re seeking a NGS Technical Sales Specialist who blends a strong scientific foundation with a consultative commercial mindset — someone who can speak the language of researchers, understand their challenges, and guide them toward solutions that accelerate discovery.

What You’ll Do
Drive Scientific Engagement & Growth
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for MGI’s sequencing and automation portfolio.
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within universities, hospitals, research institutes, and biotech companies.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders and research partners.
Act as a Scientific Partner
  • Provide consultative pre- and post-sales support to ensure customers achieve optimal experimental outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Field Application Scientists to deliver a seamless scientific and technical experience.
  • Conduct presentations, workshops, and seminars to demonstrate the impact of MGI technologies on research and clinical applications.
Market Intelligence & Collaboration
  • Stay ahead of market trends in genomics, molecular biology, and precision medicine to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Represent MGI at scientific conferences, trade shows, and regional events as a trusted partner in the life sciences community.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, and R&D to align customer feedback with product innovation.
Reporting & Planning
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline data, and customer records using CRM tools (Salesforce).
  • Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet and exceed objectives.

What You Bring
Scientific Expertise
  • Solid understanding of genomics, molecular biology, or biotechnology.
  • Hands‑on experience with NGS workflows, DNA / RNA sequencing, or lab automation.
Commercial Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in life science sales, business development, or field-based scientific roles.
  • Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales goals through consultative, science-driven engagement.
Education & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field required; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
  • English: Advanced; Spanish: Intermediate to Advanced
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across Brazil.
