Electrical Systems Designer & Bid Specialist

Primary Responsibilities

• Review and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, door schedules, and tender documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Design integrated security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion, Intercom) that meet client requirements.
• Design low-voltage / data systems including structured cabling, network racks, and pathways, adhering to industry standards.
• Prepare detailed cost proposals and labour estimates using AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Develop and submit accurate quotations and bid packages for clients.
• Collaborate with sales teams, project managers, and vendors to confirm pricing, timelines, and compatibility.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, drawings, and documentation for easy reference.
• Participate in handover meetings for awarded projects and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating templates and design standards.

Requirements

• 2–3+ years of experience in security system estimating or low-voltage design is required.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and tender documents is essential.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu is necessary.
• Solid understanding of low-voltage systems, wiring methods, and structured cabling standards (TIA / EIA) is required.
• Experience with quoting Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, Door Hardware, and related systems is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word) is necessary.
• Ability to work remotely with strong self-management and organization skills is required.
• Experience with Zoho CRM / Books or similar platforms is an asset.
