About the Role

The primary purpose of the Supply Base Leading Hand is to lead the team to support the efficient handling and coordination of materials throughout the Supply Base. This includes ensuring the accurate and timely receipting of all incoming goods, as well as overseeing their proper storage, documentation, and movement within the facility. The Logistics Operator plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the smooth flow of materials to and from warehouses, production facilities, or distribution points. In addition to managing the receipt of goods, the Supply Base Leading Hand is responsible for verifying that all materials scheduled for vessel loading match the relevant shipping documents and manifests. The operator identifies and resolves any discrepancies, ensuring that goods are properly secured and handled in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. By overseeing the accurate loading and proper documentation of materials, the Logistics Operator helps minimise errors, optimise space utilisation, and ensure timely departure of shipments to meet customer delivery or operational deadlines.

Specific Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship to new team members, particularly those working in the pipe yard and warehouse, by sharing knowledge and skills essential to their roles.
• Serve as a point of contact for ad hoc maintenance, and operational tasks.
• Ensure tasks are completed beyond standard hours when necessary or arrange a detailed handover with a capable colleague to maintain quality and meet deadlines.
• Participate in daily planning and structuring meetings as required.
• Participate in Safety Engagement (SEs), Critical Risk Controls (CRCs), and hazard reporting.
• Manage and maintain accurate receipting of offshore waste streams and subsequent EPA disposal waste certificates.
• Manage and arrange the collection of various waste streams at the supply base.
• Provide coverage for Supervisor when required.
• Assist in vessel agency tasks when required.
• Forklift operations - cargo handling.
• Loading and unloading freight.
• Quality Assurance inspection of supplied materials and equipment.
• Processing stock transfers.
• Stocktaking.
• Packing materials for transport.
• Process return deliveries from offshore.
• Cataloguing materials.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 2 years\' experience in a similar role.
• High Risk Work License in Forklift (mandatory).
• Dogman License (preferred).
• Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work well within a small team environment.
