Overview

Functional IT Analyst, RH Workday/HCM system configuration

In this role, you’ll help us deliver better care for billions of people by configuring and managing Workday HCM, HR analytics, and security within the Core HR Lead Product Owner domain.

What you will do
  • Support the Core HR Lead Product Owner Workday implement sustainable and innovative solutions within the Workday HCM, HR analytics, and security.

  • Serve as the Workday Release Manager, coordinating with HR, DTS and business stakeholders ensuring smooth deployment of system updates to align releases with business objectives and through bi-annual releases and hotfixes.

  • Recommend and develop solutions. Drive solutions from recommendations, design, configuration, and unit testing, to measuring success and ongoing maintenance – including large-scale strategic projects, enhancements, and ensuring operational efficiency.

  • Work with business stakeholders to refine and document requirements, using standard design guidelines.

  • Complete tasks as required of an IT owner or delegate of relevant application(s).

  • Configure compliant solutions, meeting technical, security, and data privacy standards.

  • Identify and lead optimization and process improvement efforts.

  • Partner with Product Owner and business stakeholders to ensure successful product releases and upgrades.

  • Identify and collaborate with resources across functions to effectively implement cross-functional and/or end to end solutions.

  • Create complete and clear documentation of changes.

  • Create reports in order to utilize data to understand current state and make recommendations.

  • Provide informal instruction/coaching to junior analysts.

Key Qualifications and Experiences

Mandatory:

  • 2+ years of experience in primary area supported - such as Workday, HCM, HR analytics, and security.

  • Fluency in English

  • Ability and initiative to engage with different level of stakeholders across teams

  • Strong in Organization and Documentation – Skills in creating and maintaining accurate technical documentation

  • Experience Troubleshooting and Problem Solving – Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, often requiring innovative solutions

Nice to have:

  • Advanced Systems Knowledge - Comprehensive knowledge in specific area (e.g., a specific application and/or module)

  • Ability to work independently (with limited oversight) based on strategic direction vs specific instruction.

  • In-depth knowledge of specialized functional area(s).

  • Business analysis and Data Analysis

  • Security Awareness – Understanding security best practices and principles to ensure solutions are secure and compliant with relevant regulations

  • Process Improvement – Experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements

Soft skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.

  • Cross-team collaboration and proactive partnership.

  • Continuous Learning - Experience proactively engaging available technology resources to develop a strong network and foster professional growth (e.g., Workday Community, user groups, etc.).
