Data Governance Lead (Hybrid – São Paulo)
Senior professional with solid experience in Data Governance, integration of data environments across regions or corporate units, risk management, and regulatory compliance in a wholesale banking context (MiFID, DISA, etc.).
Able to lead the corporate data governance framework, drive a data‑driven culture, and ensure consistency across data, processes, and platforms.

As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a highly experienced Data Governance Lead to join our team in São Paulo (Hybrid model).
Key Responsibilities – Daily Activities
- Lead the Data Governance framework for wholesale banking, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and both local and global regulatory expectations.
- Coordinate the integration between local and global data platforms, ensuring standardization of metadata, ontologies, glossaries, lineage and corporate data models.
- Oversee the controlled evolution of data environments (lakes, hubs, local tools, and global platforms), preventing fragmentation and ensuring end‑to‑end governance.
- Drive data and AI literacy programs, designing training, communication, and best‑practice adoption initiatives across business and technology areas.
- Participate in the creation and operation of the Data Governance Body, including definition of roles (Data Owner, Steward, Custodian, SPOCs), establishment of forums (Data Council, Data Quality Forum, Steward Community), annual agenda for maturity, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor governance KPIs such as quality, completeness, lineage, cataloging, control adherence, and maturity evolution.
- Support business, risk, finance, and technology areas on Data Quality, Privacy by Design, access standards, security, and critical data management.
- Act as the point of contact between local and global teams, ensuring alignment of roadmaps, reference models, and delivery milestones.
Must Have – Required Qualifications
Experience & Technical Knowledge
- 3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Strategy, or Data Governance Audit, preferably in banks, wholesale banking, financial services, or large consulting firms.
- Strong mastery of DAMA‑DMBOK pillars: Data Quality, Metadata / Glossary, Data Lineage, Master & Reference Data, Data Architecture, Data Security & Privacy.
- Experience with data catalog and governance platforms (Collibra, EDC, Alation, Purview).
- Solid knowledge of modern data architectures: lakehouse, data lake, ETL / ELT, APIs, streaming, data mesh.
- Experience integrating or supporting the integration of data platforms across geographies (e.g., Databricks, Starburst).
- Strong stakeholder‑management capabilities, including senior leadership engagement.
- Experience conducting workshops, training sessions, and data culture programs.
Nice to Have – Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Treasury, Markets, Risk, Corporate Banking or Wholesale Banking.
- Experience with global governance platforms (Collibra Global, Data Hubs, DQ Engines).
- Knowledge of data protection and security regulations (LGPD, GDPR, BACEN).

- CDMP – DAMA / Data catalog tool certifications
- Cloud (AWS / GCP / Azure)
- Scrum / Kanban / Trello / Teams Planner
- Understanding or experience with Data Mesh.
- Experience with ESG data governance or operational risk.
