Position: Business Intelligence Developer

GreenLight Biosciences is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of data visualization solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with and learn about downstream data visualization tools to enable insights and decisions across the organization. The role will focus on visualizing data across R&D, Finance, and Manufacturing workflows.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate within a highly cross-functional biotechnology data solutions team to deliver decision-enabling dashboards for R&D, Finance, and Manufacturing.
  2. Engage with stakeholders to understand best-case data visualization solutions, using dashboarding tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.
  3. Extract and source data from custom systems from third parties, such as TOTVS, and from data warehouses.
  4. Follow Agile methodology to deliver reports and dashboards.
  5. Prepare documentation and conduct functionality tests.
  6. Clearly articulate and communicate results, solutions, and vision to stakeholders and managers.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology, or equivalent.
  2. More than 2 years of working experience in scientific solutions, commercial or public research organizations handling diverse datasets.
  3. At least 5 years experience developing dashboards from complex data models using PowerBI or similar tools like Tableau.
  4. Familiarity with at least two database design and querying languages such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  5. Experience with ERP systems such as TOTVS ERP, D365 F&O, Salesforce, etc.
  6. Agility and a solution-oriented mindset.
  7. Strong ownership and commitment to completing assignments.
  8. Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
  9. Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Science, Biotechnology, or equivalent.
  2. Hands-on experience in data aggregation, cleaning, normalization, and visualization within the Microsoft ecosystem.
  3. Knowledge of financial, manufacturing, and lab processes and operations.
  4. Proficiency in Excel, including developing functions and VBA macros.
  5. Ability to interact with both data and non-data personnel to implement user requirements.
  6. Experience in software documentation and testing.
