The key responsibility of the Technical Information Specialist is to support and facilitate high quality technical information for our customers and dealer technicians.
Technical Information includes Work Shop Manuals, Operators Manuals, Assembly Instructions, Schematics and more).
In this role, you will lead Technical Information projects and act as liason between all the AGCO SME's, the authoring teams and our customers and dealers to ensure success.
AGCO utilizes third party authors to ensure high quality technical information following global standards to ensure consistency, maximize reuse and minimize translation costs.
Information is created in Simplified Technical English (STE) and then translated through our partners to required languages to support the global business of AGCO.
A large part of the role is working with the various SME's (Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support, Marketing, etc.) to gather and distribute information relevant to the production of technical information.
This includes information within engineering systems, technical data, CAD, marketing information etc.) and where appropriate updating / inputting information in project management and content management systems for use by the content creation provider.
Following projects from conception through completion in the AGCO Major Product Introduction Process (AMPIP) and through the product lifecycle will be required to ensure any Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) are actioned appropriately, the ATL updated if needed and the change highlighted and escalated to the content creation provider.
Technical review of the authored content in collaboration with the relevant SME's to ensure the technical accuracy and usefulness of the information is also a key responsibility, before sign off, to allow topics / chapters to go forward to translation / release processes.
Initiate workflow to release technical information in AGCO Digital Tools with Global Release Team (GRT).
Ensure the released information is available and correctly displayed in the relevant digital tools and print shops.
The scope of the work is to develop information for the Agricultural Products, modules / components or Digital Products as assigned.
There will also be process responsibility in support of the Global teams.
