Job summary
A leading company in the UAE, Stantec, seeks an experienced Draughtsman to work on critical water distribution and drainage projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in related drafting work and proficiency in tools like Microstation and AutoCAD. This full-time role involves coordinating site work, preparing as-built drawings, and ensuring effective project execution.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in drafting sewerage, stormwater, and irrigation projects.
- Thorough knowledge of Dubai's existing sewerage and drainage networks.
- Ability to survey and prepare as-built drawings.
Responsibilities
- Involved in designing and planning water distribution and drainage projects.
- Undertaking investigations and tendering for various projects.
- Monitoring construction and liaising with contractors.

Description
The Draughtsman will be involved in working on projects associated with stormwater & drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks and water distribution networks. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction monitoring.
• He must be well experienced in the latest version of Micro station, Auto CAD, Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Packages, and Internet Applications.
• He must also have a thorough knowledge of the existing sewerage, Drainage, and Irrigation Networks in the Emirates of Dubai and be able to track existing networks from as-built records of various DS, IRR, and Roads Projects.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate work.
• Ability to survey site constructions and to prepare as-built drawings.
• Draughtsman must have relevant technical qualifications and must have not less than seven years of experience in drafting related to sewerage, stormwater, Irrigation, and miscellaneous works.
