Applied Technology and Management (ATM), a Geosyntec Company, is looking for a Principal – Environmental or Remediation Business Leader to help grow our contaminated site assessment and remediation practices inour Dubai or Abu Dhabi office in the United Arab Emirates. This position is well-suited for a talented, highly experienced individual who is interested in being a leader and contributing to innovative and challenging projects, including the financial and technical evaluation, design, permitting, and construction stages. • Project and task management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability;
• Preparing and/or implementing remediation designs and strategies for remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, and air pollutants;
• Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan;
• Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors;
• Work plan development, data evaluation, and technical report writing on a variety of contaminated site assessment, remediation, and operations and maintenance projects;
• Reviewing and managing written document production;
• Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties; and
• At times, job may also include fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or geology (civil, chemical, environmental, or hydrogeology preferred). (required)
• Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
• Professional licensure. (preferred)

• At least 10 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
• Detailed understanding of UAE soil, groundwater, and air remediation regulations. (required)
• Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
• Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)
• Proven leadership skills. (required)
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
• Fieldwork and overnight travel may be required.
