Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Diploma or certification in relevant fields such as Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical trades.
  • Vocational training from a recognized institution is an advantage.
2. Professional Experience:
  • Entry-level roles may require 1-2 years of relevant hands-on experience.
  • For senior technician roles, 3-5+ years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Proven experience in the specific domain (e.g., CCTV installation, structured cabling) is essential.
3. Technical Skills:
  • CCTV Technician:
    • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IP and analog cameras.
    • Knowledge of DVRs, NVRs, and video management software.
    • Familiarity with cabling, power supply setups, and networking basics.
  • Access Control Technician:
    • Experience with electronic locks, card readers, biometric systems, and integration with other security systems.
    • Ability to read wiring diagrams and install access control systems.
  • Structured Cabling Technician:
    • Proficiency in installing, terminating, and testing copper and fiber optic cables.
    • Understanding of TIA/EIA standards and network infrastructure design.
  • HVAC Technician:
    • Expertise in installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
    • Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, air conditioning units, and ductwork.
    • Ability to handle refrigerants as per safety and environmental regulations.
4. Certifications (Optional but Preferred):
  • CCTV/Access Control: Certifications from manufacturers like Hikvision, Dahua, or Axis. General certifications like Certified Security Technician (CST) are a plus.
  • Structured Cabling: BICSI Installer/Technician certifications or similar.
  • HVAC: EPA Certification, HVAC Excellence Certification, or similar.
  • Safety certifications such as OSHA or NEBOSH are highly valued.
5. Key Competencies:
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment for the specific field.
  • Ability to follow blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Physical fitness for handling heavy equipment and working in varied environments.
6. Language Proficiency:
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in English for understanding manuals and communication.
  • Regional language proficiency can be an added advantage, depending on the location.
7. Personal Traits:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Punctuality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts or on-call when required.
