Job summary
A construction company in the UAE is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to oversee all mechanical works such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, coordinating with multiple teams, and conducting quality inspections. Strong technical knowledge and site experience are essential for this role, which involves managing site activities and ensuring adherence to safety policies.

Education
We are seeking a skilledMechanical Engineerto join our construction project team. The candidate will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing all mechanical works including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems. The role requires strong technical knowledge, site experience, and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
- Supervise installation of all mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting).
- Ensure all work complies with approved drawings, project specifications, and standards.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
- Monitor daily progress and coordinate with subcontractors and site teams.
- Conduct quality inspections and submit IRs for consultant approval.
- Resolve technical issues and raise RFIs for design clarifications.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to avoid clashes.
- Perform testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Ensure all site activities follow HSE policies and safe work practices.
- Prepare daily reports, maintain site documentation, and assist with as-built drawings.
- Participate in handover activities and close snag items.
- Experience with high-rise buildings / industrial projects (optional).
- Knowledge of BIM coordination (preferred).
- Valid local engineering or site work certifications (if applicable).
