The E-commerce Marketing & Sales Officer is responsible for driving the sales and marketing initiatives of the company’s online platform. This role involves executing strategic campaigns, optimizing the online sales funnel, and managing customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives, enhance the digital presence, and maximize revenue growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and sales.
  2. Execute campaigns across digital channels, including social media, email marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), and display advertising.
  3. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to optimize ROI.

1. Campaign Strategy & Execution:

  1. Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and sales.
  2. Execute campaigns across digital channels, including social media, email marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), and display advertising.
  3. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to optimize ROI.

2. Content Creation & Branding:

  1. Collaborate with designers and copywriters to create compelling content and promotional materials.
  2. Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and campaigns.

3. SEO & SEM:

  1. Optimize website content for search engines to improve organic traffic.
  2. Manage pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns on platforms like Google Ads.

4. Social Media Management:

  1. Plan, execute, and monitor social media marketing campaigns.
  2. Build an active online community and drive engagement with the brand.

5. Email Marketing:

  1. Develop email campaigns to promote new products, discounts, and other services.
  2. Maintain and expand customer mailing lists to increase conversions.

6. Market Research:

  1. Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer preferences.

Sales Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Planning:

  1. Design and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  2. Collaborate with the product and operations teams to optimize product offerings and pricing.

2. Customer Acquisition & Retention:

  1. Identify and acquire new customers using targeted campaigns and strategies.
  2. Develop loyalty programs to retain existing customers and increase lifetime value.

3. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):

  1. Analyze customer journeys on the website and optimize user experience to boost sales.
  2. Test and refine website features, such as checkout processes and product pages.

4. Order Management:

  1. Oversee the sales process, including order placements, tracking, and fulfillment in coordination with the operations team.

5. CRM Management:

  1. Manage customer relationships through tools like CRM software.
  2. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Analytical & Reporting Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis:

  1. Analyze website traffic, sales data, and campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and sales dashboards.
  2. Provide actionable insights based on data to improve performance.

2. KPI Monitoring:

  1. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, cart abandonment rates, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and return on ad spend (ROAS).

3. Reporting:

  1. Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports for senior management, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Educational Background:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, E-commerce, or a related field.
  2. Advanced certifications in Digital Marketing, SEO, or Data Analytics are a plus.

2. Professional Experience:

  1. 2-5 years of experience in e-commerce marketing and sales or related roles.
  2. Hands-on experience with other e-commerce platforms.

3. Technical Skills:

  1. Proficiency in digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.).
  2. Knowledge of SEO tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs.
  3. Familiarity with CRM and email marketing software (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp).

4. Soft Skills:

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  3. Creativity with a strong sense of initiative.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  1. Increase in website traffic and conversion rates.
  2. Growth in online sales and revenue.
  3. Reduction in customer acquisition cost (CAC).
  4. Improvement in customer lifetime value (CLTV).
