Job Description:

A Draughtsman plays a crucial role in the design and development phases of construction and manufacturing projects. The primary responsibility of a Draughtsman is to create detailed technical drawings and plans based on project specifications provided by architects, engineers, or designers. These drawings serve as a blueprint for the project, ensuring that all elements are precise and aesthetically pleasing. Draughtsmen utilize specialized software to draft and refine their drawings, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Attention to detail, accuracy, and a deep understanding of materials and construction methods are vital in this role. Collaborating with team members, a Draughtsman ensures that the design intent is communicated clearly and effectively, translating concepts into tangible plans suitable for execution. Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed technical drawings based on specifications from architects or engineers.

• Review and modify designs to achieve desired outcomes and project goals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and building regulations.
• Ensure all drawings comply with local, national, and international standards.
• Analyze structural details and materials to ensure feasibility and safety.
• Incorporate feedback from clients and team members into existing designs.
• Prepare assembly and installation instructions for use by on-site teams.
• Assist in the estimation of project costs and resource requirements.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers to integrate technical knowledge.
• Manage and archive technical documentation for future reference and review.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Draughtsman in a relevant industry setting.
• Highly proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software packages.
• Strong understanding of drafting principles and technical drawing standards.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for design analysis tasks.
• Ability to interpret complex project requirements and technical specifications.
• Strong communication skills to articulate design concepts to team members.
• Detail-oriented and able to produce work with high accuracy levels.
• Familiarity with construction or manufacturing processes and materials.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines effectively.
