Job summary

A leading logistics company in Dubai is seeking an Order Picker responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of products. The role involves operating warehouse equipment, maintaining inventory, and adhering to health and safety policies. Applicants are expected to have experience in warehouse positions, good physical stamina, and a high school diploma or equivalent. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work long hours on foot.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an order picker or other warehouse position.
• Experience or license in handling forklifts, pallets jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Diligent, punctual with good physical strength.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming pick orders.
• Retrieve orders according to quantity ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions.

Job description

Job purpose

Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products. Operate warehouse equipment to build and send appropriate orders. Must be always on time and able to work long hours on foot. Strong and deft with an ability to pick up on small details. We also expect you to be picky when it comes to ensuring the quality of orders.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming pick orders
• Locate products using technology
• Retrieve orders according to quantity size etc. ensuring accuracy
• Build pallets with orders and position them to teams area
• Restock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment
• Keep records of completed orders
• Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions
• Adherent to health & safety policies and quality standards

Daily Tasks

• Daily check and prepare all the entered orders on system
• Picking process must be done as the SOP
• Ensure that he apply the FIFO and FEFO during the work
• Maintain sections and items are always in good condition especially the assigned area from management
• Edit and arrange the near expiry report
• Replenishment from receiving zone to shelves.
• Keep the shelves arranged through the picking process
• Reduce the number of loose items and advise the superiors to change the packing if needed
• Arranged the items in appropriate way on pallets to make it easy for the team leader to pack and dispatch it
• Follow superiors and seniors advice and recommendation
• Be ready to follow all the managements tasks and orders

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an order picker or other warehouse position
• Experience or license in handling forklifts pallets jacks and other warehouse equipment
• Experience in RF devices
• Able to read and write in English
• Great attention to detail
• Diligent and punctual
• Good physical strength and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
