An established industry player seeks a skilled professional to lead the testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems. In this role, you will ensure compliance with industry standards while executing functional tests, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support. Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems as per project requirements.
Perform functional tests, system integration tests, loop checks, and site acceptance tests (SAT).
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to electrical and instrumentation systems during testing and commissioning.
Ensure that all systems are tested in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
Prepare and maintain detailed test reports, commissioning records, and documentation.
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth commissioning processes.
Provide technical support and training to end-users or operators on system functionality and operation.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines during all commissioning activities.
Conduct final inspections and verification of electrical and instrumentation equipment functionality before handover.
Recommend modifications or improvements based on test results and operational feedback.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related Engineering field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems in industries such as oil & gas, power plants, or manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and commissioning procedures for electrical and instrumentation systems.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and control diagrams.
Hands-on experience with testing tools, instruments, and software used in electrical and instrumentation commissioning processes.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Additional Information:
Certification in commissioning processes (e.g., Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)) is a plus.
Experience with PLC/SCADA systems, DCS control systems, or industrial automation is an added advantage.
Knowledge of hazardous area classifications, ATEX standards, and intrinsically safe instrumentation is beneficial.
