Overview

As a Teppanyaki Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality Teppanyaki-style dishes while engaging directly with guests to deliver a unique and interactive dining experience. You will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine and the Culinary Team to ensure that standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene are consistently achieved.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting Teppanyaki dishes to Hilton standards.
  • Delivering consistent taste, portion control, and presentation across all dishes.
  • Providing engaging guest interaction while cooking in front of guests.
  • Ensuring cleanliness, organization, and hygiene at all cooking stations in line with HACCP and food safety regulations.
  • Monitoring stock, controlling waste, and assisting with ordering and inventory management.
  • Supporting, mentoring, and guiding junior kitchen team members.
  • Collaborating with the wider Culinary Team to ensure smooth operations and menu execution.
What are we looking for? / Skills
  • Previous experience as a Teppanyaki Chef in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or high-volume Japanese dining concept.
  • Strong knowledge of Teppanyaki techniques and Japanese cuisine.
  • Culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Have good communication skills and attitude towards guests and team members.
