A leading technology firm seeks a Telecom Designer to join the Design Team in Abu Dhabi. This role involves preparing design deliverables for telecom systems in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of telecom design experience, be proficient in AutoCAD, and have knowledge of various telecom systems. You will attend client meetings to ensure alignment with project requirements, prioritizing tasks effectively. Competitive compensation is offered for this specialized role.
The Telecom Designer is a key role reporting to Design Manager for the Middle East Region. The job position will be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and you will be part of the Design Team, responsible for supporting and driving the growth of business for the telecom system across the MEA Region.
The role requires you to support the Design team on telecom project design for the Oil & Gas Industry.
Prepare the design deliverables of the telecom system, including telecom block diagrams, dimensional drawings, installation drawings, cable routing layouts, equipment layouts, schematic drawings, interconnection/termination drawings, cabinet GA & wiring drawings, etc.
Attend client technical meetings to understand project requirements and ensure design deliverables align with project specifications and requirements.
Utilize experience to provide value addition to telecom design projects, determine priorities of tasks and actions, and schedule measures accordingly.
Minimum 8–10 years of telecom design experience in telecom projects. Oil & gas experience is an advantage.
Must have excellent knowledge of AutoCAD.
Familiar with the design of telecom systems such as CCTV, ACS, PAGA, telephone, LAN, radio, TNMS, DWDM/SDH, etc.
Must be well versed in preparing electrical instrument and fire & gas deliverables such as equipment layout, lighting and small power layout, single line diagram, interconnection wiring drawings, loop drawings, cable tray layout, typical installation details, bill of materials, etc.
