Technical Operations Manager – Oil & Gas

Role Overview: Orbit ISS is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Operations Manager – Oil & Gas with proven expertise in inspection, quality control, and service execution across the oil & gas and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership in Third-Party Inspection (TPI) operations, inspector mobilization, client engagement, and compliance with international standards (API, ASME, AWS, ISO). Proficiency in ERP/SRM systems, inspection software, and strategic planning is essential to ensure operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage technical teams, inspector mobilization, and resource planning to meet project requirements.
  • Act as the primary client interface, addressing technical and commercial queries with professionalism and clarity.
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals, tender documentation, and impactful client presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvements, digitalization, and business expansion aligned with market trends.
  • Champion process optimization and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with API, ASME, AWS, and ISO standards; support audits, accreditations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align operations with corporate strategy and growth objectives.
  • Oversee client communications regarding scheduling, progress updates, and feedback.
  • Manage vendor registrations, qualifications, and compliance via SRM systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • 8–15 years’ experience in QA/QC, inspection, or surveying, including 3–5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong background in source inspections and Third-Party Inspection (TPI) operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (API, ASME, AWS, ISO).
  • Valid CSWIP certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership, client management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP, CRM, SRM platforms, and inspection software.
  • Valid UAE driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nationalities: Filipino, Indian, Jordanian, Egyptian, Emirati.
  • Minimum 5 years of office-based experience managing clients, vendors, and inspection teams.
  • At least 3 years in a QA/QC managerial capacity within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • 2+ years in manpower planning, scheduling, and activity monitoring.
  • Skilled in proposals, budgeting, and procurement documentation.
  • Exposure to Marine Ports, Oilfields, Renewable Energy, and Third-Party Inspection projects.
  • Experience with global vendor inspections and inter-branch coordination.
