Job Description
Preparation of Temporary Laptops
  • Re-image the temporary laptops to be used during this project
  • Reach out to the end-users to explain the process
  • Confirm with the end-users that all their data is saved in OneDrive
  • Deliver and configure the temporary laptops for the end-users and allow for data synchronization
  • Collect the end-users’ laptops to start their imaging process
Re‑imaging Process
  • Apply the approved Golden Image
  • Use the approved naming convention
  • Liaise with relevant security teams to ensure newly imaged devices are compliant as per the adopted policies and standards
  • Ensure newly imaged devices are successfully reporting to In‑Tune
  • Ensure newly imaged devices are compliant as per Intune configured security policies
  • Liaise with the relevant patching team to ensure newly imaged devices have the latest OS and third‑party application patches
  • Ensure newly imaged devices have EndpointCentral agent and can be successfully managed by Endpoint Central
  • Liaise with the operation team to ensure newly imaged computer accounts are moved to the correct Active Directory OUs
  • Liaise with the Operation team to do the necessary cleanup of the old computer accounts in AD and Endpoint Central as per the followed process
  • Liaise with the Relevant Security team to do the necessary cleanup of the old computer accounts in Intune as per the followed process
  • Update the asset management module with the new records
  • Update the asset tags on the re‑imaged laptops
Data Backup & Restoration
  • Check and ensure local data backup before re‑imaging for all endpoints
  • Liaise with the end‑users to ensure their data is saved in OneDrive
  • Restore end users’ data and verify accessibility post imaging
Post Re‑Imaging Activities
  • Follow up with end‑users to confirm successful functionality
  • Address any post‑reimaging technical issues in coordination with the Operation team
  • Liaise with the relevant team to share the Compliance report for the newly imaged devices on a weekly basis
  • Liaise with the relevant team to share the Asset management report of the newly imaged devices on a weekly basis
  • Liaise with the relevant team to share the Endpoint Central report of the newly imaged devices on a weekly basis
  • Liaise with the relevant team to share the patching reports on a weekly basis
  • Submit a weekly progress report detailing the completion status and any challenges encountered
