Technical & Commercial Support
- Review client inquiries and technical requirements to ensure clear understanding prior to quotation preparation.
- Coordinate with approved vendors and suppliers to obtain compliant technical data, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare accurate and complete technical and commercial quotations in line with internal approval processes.
Ensure all quotations meet Oil States quality, technical, and commercial standards before submission.
Vendor & Client Coordination
- Act as the primary coordination point for quotation‑related communication with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain active follow‑up with vendors to ensure timely receipt of required information.
- Follow up with clients on issued quotations and clarifications in a timely, professional, and documented manner.
- Escalate delays, risks, or technical gaps proactively to management.
Administrative Control & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of inquiries, quotations, revisions, and correspondence.
- Ensure all documentation is properly filed and traceable in accordance with internal systems and audit requirements.
- Support preparation of internal trackers, summaries, and management reports related to bids and offers.
Compliance & Process Adherence
- Adhere strictly to Oil States internal procedures, approval matrices, and timelines.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable QHSE, contractual, and ethical standards.
- Participate in internal reviews and audits as required.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Demonstrate consistent ownership of assigned tasks from initiation through closure.
- Identify inefficiencies, recurring issues, or delays within quotation and follow‑up processes and propose corrective actions.
- Maintain a structured, organized, and disciplined approach to workload management.
Reporting & Coordination
- Provide regular status updates on quotations, vendor responses, and client follow‑ups to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment and completeness of offers.
- Support management with ad‑hoc reporting and coordination activities as required.
Qualification Requirements
Formal Education &
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline preferred).
- Diploma holders with strong relevant experience may be considered.
Knowledge & Experience
- 1–3 years’ experience in an engineering support, sales support, or technical coordination role.
- Experience in oil & gas, energy services, or industrial environments is preferred.
- Proven experience in quotation preparation, vendor coordination, and client follow‑up.
- Familiarity with OEM/vendor sourcing, technical datasheets, and commercial evaluations.
- Experience working within structured approval matrices and internal controls is required.
