Job Title: Specification Manager

A leading provider of motorized shading, access control, and smart building solutions is seeking a highly skilled Specification Manager to join its dynamic team in Dubai. The company works with premium clients across the architecture, design, and construction sectors, delivering cutting-edge automation and building technology systems.

Position Summary

The Specification Manager will be responsible for promoting the company's portfolio to project stakeholders, ensuring the accurate integration of product specifications in project designs and technical documents, and providing technical support throughout the specification process. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, stakeholder management experience, and a deep understanding of building technologies and smart systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and position the company's range of products to architects, consultants, engineers, interior designers, and project developers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely specification of products into project designs, tender documents, and technical submissions.
  • Deliver high-impact product presentations and lead technical discussions and mock-up reviews with consultants and specifiers.
  • Review and interpret architectural, MEP, and design drawings to propose customized solutions aligned with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with the internal sales team to ensure a seamless handover of specified projects for execution.
  • Monitor and track project progress, maintain detailed records of all specification activities, and generate regular reports.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and new developments in smart building technologies and motorized systems.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to expand visibility and engage new stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in specification roles within the construction, building automation, or building technologies industry.
  • Proven track record in dealing with architectural and engineering consultants on project specifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of motorized shading systems, building management systems (BMS), guest room management systems (GRMS), access control, and IoT protocols (Zigbee, etc.).
  • Proficient in reading and analyzing project documentation including MEP layouts and architectural drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep understanding of the construction and building systems industry.
  • Technically strong with the ability to lead discussions with consultants and specifiers.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a solution-oriented and proactive approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Team player with cross-functional coordination abilities and high client-service standards.
Additional Information
  • Location: Role is based in Dubai; candidates must already be residing in the UAE.
  • Work Type: 5 days a week, 8.5 Hours per day + 1 Hour Lunch break
