Job summary

A leading construction company in Dubai is seeking a Site Engineer - Electrical responsible for executing and supervising electrical works on-site. The ideal candidate will coordinate closely with project managers and ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications. This role requires 4-5 years of experience in MEP contracting projects, preferably in residential or high-rise buildings. The candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and be adept at planning and monitoring site activities.

Job Summary

The Site Engineer Electrical is responsible for executing, supervising and coordinating electrical works at site in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules and safety standards. The role involves close coordination with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and execute electrical works including LV/MV systems power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection and ELV systems.
  • Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements and material submittals prior to execution.
  • Coordinate with civil, mechanical and other MEP disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure smooth site progress.
  • Plan daily site activities and allocate manpower, materials and equipment efficiently.
  • Ensure installation works comply with project specifications, DEWA/authority regulations and international standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and coordinate with consultants for inspections and approvals.
  • Monitor work progress against approved schedules and report delays or issues to the Project Engineer/Manager.
  • Identify material requirements and raise material requests as per project timelines.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and site safety requirements.
  • Prepare daily progress reports, inspection requests (IRs) and as-built documentation.
  • Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 45 years of relevant experience in MEP contracting projects.
