Overview
The Showroom Manager is responsible for managing the sales operations of the dealership to ensure business goals are achieved and exceeded. This job is responsible to oversee the sales process, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with dealership policies. Furthermore, this job collaborates with the finance team to drive profitability and optimize sales operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the showroom team to ensure exceptional customer service is delivered to clients.
- Manage inventory and product displays to ensure the showroom is presented in a visually appealing and professional manner.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability, including promotions, marketing initiatives, and merchandising displays.
- Handle customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner, ensuring that customer satisfaction is always maintained.
- Actively participate in business development activities, including attending industry events and networking with potential clients.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the market, staying up to date with emerging trends, products, and customer preferences.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and provide education and training to the showroom team.
- Analyse sales data and develop action plans to drive performance and meet targets.
- Ensure all administrative duties, such as order processing and inventory management, are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage budgets and expenses to ensure profitability of the showroom.
- Train and motivate staff to ensure a high level of customer service and sales performance.
- Participate in promotional events and marketing activities to increase brand awareness and generate new leads.
- Monitor and analyse the financial performance of the dealership, including sales revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Prepare regular sales reports, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct thorough analysis of sales data, market trends, and customer behaviour to identify areas for growth.
- Oversee the sales process from beginning to end, ensuring accuracy and compliance with dealership policies and legal regulations.
- Review sales contracts and agreements to verify terms, pricing, and incentives.
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any financial or operational discrepancies related to sales transactions.
- Monitor vehicle aging and coordinate with the sales team to implement effective strategies for inventory turnover and profitability.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard dealership assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and training to sales staff on dealership policies.
- Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
- Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
Position Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in automotive sales management
- Proven experience in automotive car sales with a proven record of achieving sales targets and managing a sales team.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
