Overview

Senior Scheduling / Planning Engineer (Asset Integrity)

Penspen is a leading energy services company, providing engineering, project management, asset management and integrity services to the energy industry worldwide for over 65+ years. Originally founded in the UK in 1954 as Spencer & Partners, the company has now grown to include almost 1,000 members of staff, with major offices in London, Mexico, Colombia, Houston and Abu Dhabi.

We are looking for a Senior Scheduling / Planning Engineer (Onshore / Offshore) to work in our PMS project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role is accountable for the management of the project controls team deployed on various projects. Project control support is given to the Project Management team who acts on behalf of the client (Khafji Joint Operations, KJO) and delivers the program of projects.

The role will also be involved in review of early-stage deliverables (FEL1 and FEL2), as far as cost, schedule and risk is concerned, produced by KJO front end development department.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills)
  • At least fourteen (14) years of experience of which at least ten (10) years in direct involvement in project management, planning, scheduling, cost estimation, cost and budget control, procurement tracking and monitoring / forecasting of engineering and construction activities for major oil and gas projects. Asset Integrity experience is an added advantage.
  • PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.
  • Working knowledge of various contracting types and strategies related to project execution.
  • Prior experience in schedule and cost benchmarking of oil and gas upstream projects.
  • Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient. Working knowledge of Primavera P6 package.
Qualifications
  • An engineering, construction, or project management degree.
