Job summary

A leading municipal organization in Dubai is seeking a Senior Projects Specialist to manage coastal, marine, and landscape projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, at least 10 years of experience in project management, and expertise in FIDIC contract administration. Excellent command of English and Arabic is essential, alongside strong leadership skills. Candidates with PMP or PRINCE2 certifications will be preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering project management.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are highly desirable.
• Expertise in FIDIC contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of coastal and marine projects.
• Administer and manage engineering contracts with FIDIC conditions.
• Supervise design, documentation, and construction activities.
• Act as focal point with consultants and contractors.
• Identify and manage project risks and monitor quality.
• Lead project teams and mentor junior engineers.

Overview

Senior Projects Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Delivery
  Lead the end-to-end management of coastal, marine, and landscape projects. Ensure timely delivery within approved cost and quality standards.
• Contract & Claims Management
  Administer and manage engineering contracts with emphasis on FIDIC Conditions of Contract. Review and resolve contractual issues and claims.
• Technical & Engineering Oversight
  Supervise and review design, documentation, and construction activities. Ensure adherence to engineering codes and sustainability standards.
• Stakeholder Coordination
  Act as focal point with consultants, contractors, and authorities. Prepare periodic progress reports.
• Risk, Quality & Safety
  Identify and manage project risks. Monitor quality and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Leadership & Capacity Building
  Lead project teams, mentor junior Emirati engineers, and support knowledge transfer.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architecture (master’s preferred).
