Product Engineer (Design) – AUTOMOBILE Background

Requirements

Years of experience: 5 – 8 years

Location: Dubai

Reporting To

Product Development Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Product Development team to finalize product ideas.
• Check product installation feasibility and prepare design accordingly.
• Convert Images or Sketches or Drawings to 3D model.
• Create 3D model based on the scan data (Mesh file / STL File).
• Convert 3D simulation to Actual Engineered Product including A surface & B surface creation.
• Create detailed 2D Drawings as per Automotive industry standards and customer requirements.
• Define Product Material of each kit components.
• Prepare Installation Manual of the products.
• Justify the design performance with help of CAD tools. e.g. FEA Analysis.

Skills

• Understanding of Automotive Interior and Exterior Parts Engineering and installation.
• Understanding of Automotive Standards and Regulations.
• Able to do Reverse Engineering from Scan data or physical part. (Mesh to CAD / STL to STP or IGES).
• Knowledge of materials (Plastics and Metal) and its manufacturing processes.
• Able to predict expected failures in production or on field and manage to make changes during design phase.
