Job description
Overview

Senior Manager – Financial Solutions (External Title : Executive Director)

Location: UAE

Reporting to: Head of Loan Capital Markets

This is a structured lending and syndications role with a strong emphasis on originating, structuring, and executing syndicated loans and complex financing transactions. The role requires a banker with deep experience in structured finance, leveraged finance, and asset-backed lending, bringing strong credit expertise and the ability to manage multi-lender deals end-to-end.

While the core focus is on loan capital markets (c.80–90%), there will also be occasional exposure to equity-related mandates — typically in the form of private placements, sell-downs, or staple financings in the context of M&A transactions. This is not an IPO-driven ECM role; rather, the expectation is to complement loan solutions with equity when appropriate.

The successful candidate will act as a solutions-driven transaction banker, comfortable leading syndicated financings and advising clients across complex capital structures, particularly when deals involve a mix of debt and equity.

Key Responsibilities

Loan Capital Markets (Core Focus)

  • Originate, structure, and execute syndicated loans across corporates, real estate, and development financing.
  • Lead end-to-end deal execution: preparing information memoranda, coordinating with other banks, negotiating terms, and managing documentation.
  • Provide expertise in structured finance, leveraged finance, and asset-backed lending, including cash flow analysis and credit structuring.
  • Assess creditworthiness, lead internal approval processes, and ensure risk alignment.
  • Deliver complex, multi-bank financing solutions under tight deadlines.

Equity-Linked / Complementary Transactions (Secondary Focus)

  • Support equity-related financing solutions when linked to loan mandates, such as private sell-downs and minority stake placements.
  • Staple financing alongside M&A transactions (where debt is packaged with a sale or acquisition).
  • Block trades or strategic placements to institutional or family office investors.
  • Provide valuation input and support equity structuring where relevant, but not as a primary mandate.
Who you are

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Strong banking background in syndicated lending, structured finance, leveraged finance, or project finance.
  • Proven ability to originate, structure, and execute syndicated loans and complex financings.
  • Deep credit analysis and structuring expertise.
  • Experience in asset-backed lending or financing tied to real estate / development projects.
  • Client-facing skills: pitching, relationship management, and transaction leadership.

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Exposure to equity-linked deals such as private placements, sell-downs, or staple financing in M&A contexts.
  • Some background in ECM (non-IPO) transactions that complement loan solutions.
  • International exposure, particularly with SWFs, family offices, and institutional investors.

Not Looking for

  • Pure DCM professionals (bond issuance focus).
  • IPO-only ECM bankers.
  • Pure advisory / agency backgrounds without direct transaction banking experience.
Key Selling Points
  • High-visibility role reporting to the Head of Loan Capital Markets.
  • Core focus on syndicated lending, leveraged finance, and structured deals, with equity as a complementary skillset.
  • Opportunity to work with corporates, family groups, and sovereign wealth funds across the region & globally.
  • Broad sector exposure; sector-agnostic and international in reach.
