Job Overview

Here's your chance to step into the role of Senior Executive Finance – Dubai Holding Entertainment. In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include:

Financial Reporting, Shared Services Coordination & Review

Oversee and coordinate the activities of the Shared Services back-office functions (AR, AP, GL), ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing.

Review and validate the work performed by Shared Services teams, including journal entries, reconciliations, revenue postings, payables processing, and general ledger updates.

Ensure proper coding, classification, and accounting treatment of all financial transactions processed through Shared Services.

Perform detailed reviews of account reconciliations—including intercompany—and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.

Monitor key balance sheet accounts such as cash, receivables, payables, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets, ensuring completeness and accuracy of entries posted by Shared Services.

Coordinate month‑end close activities in collaboration with Shared Services, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and reporting requirements are met.

Review monthly financial results, analyze variances, and prepare financial insights for management decision‑making.

Continuously review Shared Services processes to identify improvement opportunities, automation potential, and efficiency enhancements.

Finance Business Partnering

Act as a Finance Business Partner to departments, providing financial insights, performance analyses, and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions.

Work closely with department heads to understand financial performance, cost drivers, budget variances, and shared service cost allocations.

Communicate financial outcomes clearly and ensure departments understand the impact of decisions on budgets and financial controls.

Budgetary Control & Financial Governance

Support the Finance Operations Manager in ensuring effective financial controls are implemented and consistently adhered to across the organization.

Participate in the development, monitoring, and enforcement of budgetary controls to support financial discipline.

Review Purchase Requisitions (PRs) to ensure completeness, correct accounting treatment, budget compliance, and alignment with financial policies.

Monitor departmental spending trends, highlight risks, and recommend corrective actions as needed.

Contribute to the strengthening of internal controls relating to financial reporting, transactional processes, and asset safeguarding.

About you

The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials:

Bachelor’s/Master’s in Accounting and Finance

Min. 5‑7 years of experience

Strong knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance is required.

Excellent attention to detail and project management skills

Proactive and forward thinking – able to challenge and question the status quo

Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively within a changing and fast‑paced commercial environment.
