Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and provide technical guidance during installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of electrical systems including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, lighting, and earthing systems.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, equipment datasheets, and vendor documents.
- Support construction teams in resolving site technical queries (TQs) and assist in the preparation and response to RFIs.
- Ensure all electrical works are executed in compliance with ADNOC specifications, project standards, and international codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.).
- Conduct and witness inspections, loop checks, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, instrumentation, and mechanical teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of electrical activities.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and energization activities.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to project schedule and quality standards.
- Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and material submittals related to electrical scope.
- Provide regular updates and reports to project management and client representatives.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical engineering for oil and gas projects.
- Mandatory experience working on ADNOC onshore projects.
- Strong technical knowledge in electrical systems used in oil and gas installations.
- Familiarity with ADNOC procedures, design specifications, and approval processes.
- Experience with hazardous area classification and ATEX-certified equipment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environment.
