Job Description :

What You'll Be Doing :

The Senior Design Engineer (Buildings) shall be responsible to review and approve the below deliverables on behalf of Employer (but not limited to) :

Lead the design process for building projects, including concept development, detailed design, and construction documentation.

Ensure all designs comply with local regulations, international standards, and client requirements.

Oversee and coordinate building works on-site to ensure alignment with approved designs and specifications.

Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues.

Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, progress, and adherence to design intent.

Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.

Provide technical support during construction phases and assist in resolving design-related queries.

Liaise with authorities for design approvals and ensure compliance with UAE building codes.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes.

Review of the Design drawings and calculations at various stages of the design development

Review of the shop drawings

Review of the material used which is reflected in the drawings and calculations and cross verification with MAR

Review of the Basis of design, performance and technical specifications

Carryout the tasks assigned by the Engineering team on day-to-day basis

Attending the meetings on behalf of EMPLOYER

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.

Minimum 10 years of experience in building design and construction, with at least 5 years in the UAE.

Strong understanding of UAE building codes, authority requirements, and construction practices.

Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, STAAD, or similar.

Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
