Job summary

An international supervision consultancy is seeking an MRICS Chartered Contracts Manager for a major buildings and infrastructure project in Dubai, UAE. The role requires 25+ years of experience and a deep understanding of contract law, financial analysis, and project management. Responsibilities include managing contractual commitments, overseeing changes, and preparing delay reports. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and MRICS membership, and will be expected to work a 6-day week.

Qualifications

Randstad is working with an international supervision consultant in the search for a MRICS Chartered Contracts Manager to join the team on a major buildings and infrastructure project in Dubai, UAE. This is a critical position that demands a deep understanding of contract law, financial analysis, project management, and negotiation. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all contractual obligations are met, all while minimizing risk and maximizing benefits for the business.

Responsibilities
  • Manage contractual performance and commitments based on the Client’s instructions, Specifications, Drawings, and the Contract’s Terms and Conditions, including any construction Change Orders
  • Manage contract variations and change orders, ensuring all changes are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor, evaluate, and prepare fully supported estimates and claims for contract alterations/variations
  • Assist clients with preparing Extension of Time (EOT) claims or respond effectively to those submitted by the Contractor
  • Identify and assess project delays by analyzing progress reports, schedules, and relevant documentation
  • Prepare comprehensive delay reports and documentation to support dispute resolution processes or claims

To be considered, candidates must have:

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 25+ years of relevant experience in managing contractual commitments
  • A Bachelor's degree in either Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Laws
  • MRICS Chartered (Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) membership is mandatory
  • Happy working a 6 day working week
