The role involves implementing Individual Education Plans, assessing student needs, adapting curriculum, mentoring Learning Support Assistants in an inclusive environment, and providing tailored student support through Individualized Education Plans, collaborating with teachers and parents, conducting assessments, and ensuring compliance with special education requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging lessons for diverse learners, collaborate with professionals, and create instructional materials using technology and multisensory methods.
- Plan and conduct engaging instructional activities, implement Individualized Educational Programs, and collaborate with therapists to support diverse learning needs.
- Develop and implement an inclusion strategy, manage Special Educational Needs support, provide guidance, and ensure compliance with legislation while promoting collaboration.
- Assist the lead teacher in lesson implementation, classroom management, and individualized student support while demonstrating strong communication and curriculum skills.
- Plan and deliver lessons, assess student progress, collaborate with staff, and support individual educational programs for students with special needs.
- Teach academic physical education, coach netball, develop inclusive sports, and support the Elite Player Pathway programme with strong communication skills.
- Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons, lead sports teams, maintain records, and support extracurricular activities while inspiring students.
- Provide leadership in Physical Education, focusing on curriculum development, assessment, and pupil achievement while fostering high standards and excellence.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in Social Studies, fostering critical thinking and collaboration with parents and faculty to support student growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Special Education or related field; strong English communication skills.
- Experience with implementing Individual Education Plans, assessing needs, adapting curriculum, and mentoring staff.
- Experience with inclusion, collaboration with parents and therapists, and compliance with special education legislation.
- For Physical Education roles: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, teaching qualification, strong classroom management, and lesson planning skills; UK qualifications encouraged.
- Additional requirements may include B.Ed or Cache 3 certification for Kindergarten roles; experience with teaching children aged 3 to 5 in reputable schools.
