Overview
In this role, I will manage the efficient operation of my department to provide exceptional products and services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget.
Responsibilities
- Work strategically with the Commercial Director to develop cohesive and productive goals for the department and establish procedures/guidelines to achieve them. Maintain consistency with the Company’s vision, quality/standards and develop concepts aligned with brand identity.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the property including room types, location and layout, selling status, rates, benefits of all packages, credit policy, and reservation coding.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share across the assigned territories.
- Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities within the region, using competitor analysis and data insights to drive revenue performance.
- Identify new business opportunities with selected agencies and companies, building relationships to create new revenue streams and support market share.
- Travel to key markets to conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, and events to build relationships and negotiate business on behalf of the cluster hotels.
- Proactively address client needs as needed, acting as a primary liaison between the client and the hotel to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on market trends, performance, target account performance, and opportunities for growth.
- Revise and control the department budget to ensure adherence to financial targets, monitoring costs to drive profitability while maintaining required standards.
- As Sales Manager - Leisure, oversee the performance and development of all hosts within the department through direction, encouragement, discipline, performance evaluation, and coaching to build a loyal, productive team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years total experience in luxury hospitality or hotel sales with direct supervisory experience over a sales team, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of the business landscape in Dubai, including cultural nuances and market trends.
- Technical skills: Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; fluency in Russian and/or Arabic strongly preferred.
- Thorough understanding of Six Senses vision and values, guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities and services.
- Specific days and timing based on business needs, seasonality, and local labour laws; role may require standing and walking for extended periods and travel for work-related meetings and events.
