A leading luxury fashion company in Dubai seeks a Finance Controller to assist with reporting, reconciliations, and data integrity. The ideal candidate holds a Finance & Accounting degree and has at least 3 years of experience in the retail industry. Strong English communication skills and proficiency in MS Office are essential. This full-time position offers the opportunity to grow within a diverse team.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of financial controller experience in retail industry preferable.
  • Able to work independently, proactively and under pressure.

  • Assist Finance Manager in reporting and monthly closing.
  • Daily sales reconciliation and journal in JDE.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist Finance Manager in the reporting and monthly closing
  • Able to make investigation on costs variance and support FM for the analysis
  • Daily sales reconciliation (JDA, X Store)
  • Daily sales journal in JDE
  • Sending daily sales to Al Tayer
  • Monthly sending to the mall (flagship stores)
  • Weekly certification in HFM
  • JDE MONTHLY CLOSING (SALES & COGS)
  • Sales journal
  • Purchases / duties and freight
  • Markdown provision / Discounts
  • Actual closing
  • Monthly Flash Sales (HFM)
  • Estimation of Royalties IC
  • I / C reconciliation with all entities, including the maintenance of the Purchases register with LGI / Mendes
  • to find a way to improve and reduce the manual work)
  • Custom duties check on monthly basis (air bills and invoices received) and compare
  • with Al Tayer report)
  • Markdown provision journal entry and start the full understanding of the estimation (S&M file)
  • Assist in preparation of MRP and store P&L
  • INVOLVEMENT IN FORECAST & BUDGET PROCESS
  • RPAS management (sales by store, by department FP / MD)
  • Assist in preparation of MRP and store P&L
  • Working in close collaboration with each local department
  • CONTROLLING
  • Investigation of the variances and help to provide explanation.
  • Developing system controls for ensuring data integrity.
  • Assist FM in all business plan
Requirements
  • Holding Finance & Accounting Degree
  • At least three years of financial controller experience in retail industry preferable
  • Excellent English written and verbal skills
  • Able to work independently, proactively and under pressure
  • Fast learner
  • Problem solver and multitasked
  • Good command of MS Office applications specially in Excel
  • Knowing JDE accounting system is a plus
