Job summary

A construction company in Dubai is seeking a Resource Manager for MEP projects. The successful candidate will plan, allocate, and manage manpower resources, ensuring optimal utilization across all projects. The ideal individual will have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and 8-12 years of experience in the MEP/construction industry, preferably in UAE/GCC. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and ERP/HR systems is required. This position offers a dynamic work environment and significant responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in resource/manpower planning within MEP/construction industry (UAE/GCC preferred).
  • Strong understanding of MEP project operations and manpower structures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive resource plan covering all ongoing and upcoming MEP projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers and department heads to identify manpower requirements.
  • Allocate resources based on project priorities, skill sets, and timelines.
  • Monitor manpower productivity utilization rates and forecast future requirements.
  • Coordinate with HR for recruitment onboarding and mobilization of new staff.
  • Ensure smooth deployment, transfer, and demobilization of manpower between sites.

Resource Manager MEP

Job Purpose

To plan allocate and manage manpower and resources across all MEP projects ensuring optimal utilization cost-effectiveness and timely deployment of skilled personnel as per project requirements. Acts as the central point of coordination between project sites HR and management for manpower planning and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive resource plan covering all ongoing and upcoming MEP projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers and department heads to identify manpower requirements (engineers supervisors technicians etc.).
  • Allocate resources based on project priorities skill sets and timelines.
  • Monitor manpower productivity utilization rates and forecast future requirements.
  • Coordinate with HR for recruitment onboarding and mobilization of new staff.
  • Ensure smooth deployment transfer and demobilization of manpower between sites.
  • Maintain and update the resource database (skills matrix certifications visa status project allocation).
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in resource / manpower planning within MEP / construction industry (UAE/GCC preferred).
  • Strong understanding of MEP project operations and manpower structures.
