Job Role: PV & BESS Performance Analyst

Reporting to: Head of CoE (Renewable BU)

Objective: As a Specialist, the person shall possess strong knowledge in analyzing the performance of PV & BESS or hybrid plants.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze performance data from PV and BESS systems. Utilize software tools like PVsyst, Plexos to evaluate energy production, storage efficiency, and overall system performance.
2. Performance Reporting: Generate regular performance reports highlighting key metrics, trends, and anomalies. Present findings to stakeholders and recommend actionable improvements.
3. System Optimization: Identify opportunities for enhancing system performance. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement strategies.
4. Performance Monitoring: Use SCADA systems to track real-time performance. Set up alerts for deviations or issues.
5. Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting support, work with O&M teams, visit sites for data collection and inspections.
6. Market Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, conduct research for improvements and innovations.
7. Documentation: Maintain records of analyses, initiatives, and procedures.
8. Collaboration: Coordinate with project teams and external stakeholders for performance discussions.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or related. Master’s preferred.
• Experience: Relevant experience in performance analysis or renewable energy systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools like Python, R, Excel; familiarity with PV & BESS technologies.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent reporting and presentation abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of SCADA and energy management software.
• Understanding of industry standards/regulations.
• Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics is a plus.
