Job summary

A leading organization in water treatment is seeking a skilled Process / Proposal Engineer with hands-on experience in developing technical and commercial proposals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of water treatment processes, capable of preparing accurate cost estimations, and ensuring proposals meet client specifications. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and 4-6 years of experience in water treatment systems. Strong communication and analytical skills are a must.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Familiarity with technologies like RO & UF systems, STP/ETP systems.
• Capable of multitasking and working effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Review client RFQs and raise RFIs for clarifications.
• Develop process schemes and technical proposals in line with client specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates and proposals based on selected vendors.

Job Brief: A leading organization in the water and wastewater treatment industry is seeking a skilled Process / Proposal Engineer with hands-on experience in developing technical and commercial proposals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of water treatment processes, be capable of preparing accurate cost estimations, and ensure proposals meet client requirements and project specifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Review client RFQs and raise RFIs for clarifications.
• Develop process schemes and technical proposals in line with client specifications.
• Prepare lists of deviations and qualifications for each proposal.
• Develop detailed BOQs and coordinate with vendors to obtain compliant quotations.
• Prepare cost estimates and proposals based on selected vendors.
• Conduct preliminary design calculations, including sizing, pressure drop, power, and operating cost estimations.
• Prepare technical submittals and preliminary drawings such as schematics and layouts.
• Maintain a database of manufacturers, fabricators, and suppliers.
• Prepare risk committee documents and cash flow analysis for major projects.
• Develop technical literature for non-standard equipment.
• Support the sales team by optimizing designs during the negotiation phase.
• Coordinate with the engineering team for post-contract technical clarifications.
• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the manager.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Strong technical knowledge in applications such as domestic water, desalination, wastewater treatment, high-purity water, leisure water, HVAC, and drinking water systems.
• Familiarity with key technologies, including filters, RO & UF systems, Legionella control solutions, membrane processes (RO, UF, NF), STP/ETP systems (MBR, MBBR, SBR), and ion exchange systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and organized.
• Capable of multitasking and working effectively under pressure.
• Strong work ethics, integrity, and a proactive approach.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and ERP systems.
