Job summary

A leading technology solutions provider is seeking a Pre Sales Engineer based in Dubai to manage bid proposals and specifications for Data Center projects. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge in building automation and controls, with at least 10 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include preparing RFIs, managing tenders, and coordinating with clients to ensure proposals are competitive and meet requirements. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or similar field is required, along with fluency in English and a valid UAE driving license.

Qualifications

What you will do:

Pre Sales Engineer is a key role reporting to the Domain leader-MEA responsible for our business across Middle East & Africa region. You will be based in Dubai and will be part of GCOE team that is focused in expanding our footprint and customer base across the region to achieve our strong growth objectives.

As a member of this team you will work within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your experience to deliver our business objectives for our business.

How you will do it:

• As a Pre sales engineer you will use your in depth knowledge of building automation and controls to complete bid/proposals and meet the specifications set out by the customer. This will involve preparing RFIs attending site surveys bid-clarification meetings seeking quotations from suppliers/sub-contractors estimating in-house product costs and estimating costs for engineering labor and project management. Youll manage multiple tenders simultaneously using your extensive estimation experience to co-ordinate with the client on specifications and technical clarifications ensuring we submit proposals that are competitive meet requirements and are on time.

• Bachelor of Engineering/Technology (Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation or Similar).
• Minimum 10 Years relevant experience.
• Strong technical knowledge in designing and estimating Data Center BMS & PLC Systems.
• Strong technical knowledge in selecting field instruments for data center projects.
• Strong technical knowledge in HVAC controls design optimization.
• Preferred to have Johnson controls METASYS/PLC Systems or equalenet product experience.
