Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychologist
Our client, a well-established federal government hospital, seeks a Child & Teenager Medical Psychologist based in Dubai. The role aims to reduce distress and enhance the mental wellness of children, adolescents, and their families through evidence-based practice.
Responsibilities
- Capably examines individuals and families\' needs, abilities or behaviors using methods such as psychometric tests, interviews, and direct observation.
- Creates, monitors, and adapts appropriate treatment programs, including therapy, counselling, or recommendations, in collaboration with colleagues.
- Works as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside medical professionals, nurses, social workers, education specialists, health visitors, psychiatrists, and occupational therapists.
- Delivers treatment and interventions for a range of mental health conditions.
- Develops and evaluates service provision for clients.
- Provides consultation to other professionals, promoting a psychological approach in their practice.
- Executes applied research contributing to the evidence base of practice across healthcare settings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Psychology with a minimum of six years postgraduate experience in Clinical Psychology from an approved institution, or a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Master\'s Degree in Professional Psychology and PsyD (Doctor of Psychology).
- Minimum of 2 years as a Professional Psychologist in a multidisciplinary medical setting or hospital, or a minimum of 1 year in a multidisciplinary clinical setting or mental health care organization.
- Current license/registration to practice as a Medical Psychologist.
- A willingness to be based in Dubai.
