We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR & Payroll Specialist to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing, and maintaining full compliance with UAE labor laws, WPS, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of payroll processing (salaries, bonuses, deductions, end-of-service benefits, etc.).
- Ensure WPS compliance and timely submission of payroll files.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, timesheets, leave balances, and other related documents.
- Calculate and process gratuity, final settlements, and other statutory payments.
- Handle leave management, including annual leave, sick leave, maternity leave, and unpaid leave.
- Stay up-to-date with and apply all relevant UAE Labor Law regulations.
- Coordinate with finance for payroll disbursement and statutory payments (e.g., GOSI, if applicable).
- Assist in HR operations such as employee onboarding/offboarding from a payroll perspective.
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity of employee data.
- Generate payroll reports and assist in audits or internal reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE Labor Law and WPS system.
- Experience with payroll systems and HRMS software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho People, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Payroll is a plus.
- Experience working in Medium to large size companies in the UAE.
- Knowledge of Free Zone vs Mainland labor practices is an advantage.
