A leading restaurant group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Commis 1 - Bakery & Pastry to assist in producing a wide variety of baked goods and pastries. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in a professional kitchen, including at least 1 year in bakery and pastry roles. Qualifications

  • 3 - 4 years working experience as a Commis, with at least 1 year in a bakery and pastry kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Pastry Chef and Sous Chef in preparation and production of bakery items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications for high-quality baked goods.
  • Prepare ingredients needed for daily production.
  • Monitor baking times and temperatures properly.
  • Help in decoration and presentation of pastries.
  • Support food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Participate in inventory maintenance and ordering.
  • Attend training sessions and contribute to junior staff training.

Education

Culinary diploma in baking and pastry arts
