Overview
Position: Paralegal Assistant. Location: Business Bay, Dubai. Department: Legal Admin. Reports To: Business Head.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal Assistant with 2–3 years of relevant experience to support our in-house legal team in the retail industry. The role involves providing legal and administrative assistance across a wide range of commercial, compliance, and corporate matters, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and organize legal documents including contracts, NDAs, lease agreements, and other commercial agreements.
- Assist with contract management – maintaining accurate records, tracking key deadlines, and monitoring compliance obligations.
- Support in managing legal documentation for retail operations, suppliers, franchises, and licensing requirements.
- Conduct legal research on commercial, corporate, employment, and retail regulatory matters.
- Liaise with external law firms, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders as required.
- Assist with compliance filings, renewals of trade licenses, permits, and other regulatory documents.
- Maintain and update the legal database, case files, and documentation repository.
- Provide administrative support to the Legal Counsel including preparing presentations, reports, and summaries.
- Support dispute resolution and litigation processes, including coordinating documentation and liaising with external counsel.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a similar role (preferably within retail, FMCG, or corporate legal environments).
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory laws.
- Experience in reviewing and drafting contracts and legal correspondence.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with contract management systems is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
