Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by thoroughly cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary. This includes ensuring surfaces are free of dirt, oils, rust, and any other contaminants that may affect paint adhesion and finish quality.
• Evaluate surfaces to determine the appropriate preparation techniques and materials required, ensuring an optimal finish.
• Apply paints, coatings, and finishes to products using various methods including spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
• Follow precise techniques and methods for each project to achieve a uniform, smooth, and high-quality finish.
• Utilize various types of paints, coatings, and finishes according to the specifications, adjusting techniques to meet particular requirements for each product.
• Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring that the paint application is flawless and meets all company quality standards.
• Perform touch‑ups, repairs, or refinishing as necessary to correct imperfections or inconsistencies.
• Make adjustments to application techniques and product finishes based on inspection feedback to maintain high standards of quality.
• Regularly clean, maintain, and troubleshoot painting equipment and tools to ensure they function at optimal performance levels.
• Keep track of equipment wear and tear and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to ensure the equipment’s longevity and continued efficiency.
• Ensure that all painting tools—spray guns, brushes, rollers, and related equipment—are in proper working condition and stored appropriately when not in use.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, gloves, safety goggles, and protective clothing.
• Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials such as paints, solvents, and chemicals, adhering to environmental and health safety standards.
• Stay informed of all health and safety regulations and ensure compliance in all areas of work.
• Collaborate with other production team members, providing assistance where needed to ensure the timely completion of production schedules and meeting project deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks, resolve any issues, and share information about project progress or challenges.
• Identify areas where the painting process can be improved in terms of efficiency, productivity, or quality.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements to management, helping to streamline operations and achieve better results.
• Actively participate in training sessions or workshops to enhance your skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a painter or in a similar role with a strong portfolio or track record of high‑quality work.
• Solid knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to identify and solve issues related to surface preparation, paint application, and finishing.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work meticulously to ensure flawless results.

Education and Experience

a bachelor s degree in engineering, business, or a related field (optional). A must‑have proven experience in technical sales positions in the same industry. Experience with custom manufacturing processes and materials. Strong technical acumen to understand and explain product features. Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to break down technical terminology for clients.
