Job Summary

The Paint Protection Film Technician will be responsible for the application of ceramic coating, paint protection film, wrapping, and window tint using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents/products to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles according to Autoplus standards.

Area of Responsibility & Activities

1. Vehicle Receiving and Inspections: Receive vehicles as per schedule. Check the vehicle before and after installation to prevent customer complaints.
2. Car Pre-washing: Pre-wash vehicles prior to repair and during estimating to identify damages.
3. Film Application: Install film accurately according to specifications, ensuring proper preparation of the film.
4. Quality Check: Ensure surfaces are free from dust, bubbles, lines, or particles that could affect appearance.
5. Detailing: Thoroughly clean and detail vehicles before final delivery.
6. Recording and Inventory: Record daily vehicle work and manage film inventory.
7. Safety Procedures: Use safety equipment, adhere to hazardous waste disposal requirements, and participate in safety meetings.
8. Preventive Maintenance & Best Practices: Maintain tools and equipment, organize work area, and return tools after use.
9. Personal Grooming: Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance at all times.
10. Ad-hoc Duties: Perform additional tasks as required to meet business needs.

Job Requirements

To succeed as a PPF Technician, you should have hands-on experience in automotive polishing or detailing, excellent attention to detail, physical fitness, commitment to quality, and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a dealership, workshop, or automotive manufacturing as a polisher or PPF technician
• Experience with automotive paint protection film installation or detailing preferred
• Ability to communicate in English
• Completion of automotive service technician training or related programs
• Attention to detail, steady hands, focus on quality
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to stand, crouch, and bend for long periods
• Willingness to comply with company policies and standards
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
